discudiscussion questionssion question

n our culture, most stereotypes of the physical aging process are negative and depressing, and ageism is one of the last acceptable areas of discrimination. Other cultures have different perspectives on aging–the Japanese have no word equivalent to retirement–and in places where the view of aging is more positive, people tend to live longer.  Is there anything in the text or in class discussion to date that gives you reason to be more optimistic about aging?  Do you have examples in your family where older adults are aging “well”?
