Organizational behavior contributes to how the organization is perceived in the community. Balancing corporate social responsibility, community support, and corporate image is indicative of behavior throughout the organization. Corporate Social Responsibility is seen as giving back whether locally, nationally, or globally. Social responsibility can be financial, or service, or resources. The social responsibility begins with the individual. When the individuals come together for a common cause that impacts community or society, this will be seen as the social behavior. The processes and practices of the organization use of resources, equipment, personnel, waste product, unused waste product or alliances and partnerships all are a part of what can be social responsibility by the company.
Corporate Social Responsibility is imperative nowadays for all organizations. Most organizations have CSR departments, which balance ethics with CSR. In addition, organizations that engage in CSR by service to the community are sometimes more successful and profitable as the community views the organization as a partnership.
In this module, we will explore organizational behavior practices in the form of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

BRO, HERE IS THE PROMPT:

In the background readings “pdf attached”, review the CSR framework developed by Carroll (2016), i.e. The Pyramid of Social Responsibility. Then compare this seminal research a current business ethical situation in the organization you selected.  (It is best to use your organization or one that is familiar to you in order to gather literature toward your doctoral research project, but you can choose another organization if needed).

1a. How does the organization you selected meet or miss the mark of the 4 kinds of social responsibilities mentioned in Carroll’s (2016) pyramid?

1b. Share how you would propose strategies to stakeholders that provide approval in your organization to ensure success in the areas that missed the mark.
